Chilling on the rooftop... Barcadi and sprite in one hand and an esse super slim menthol fag in the other... I watch the night sky light up and the Listen and watch the loud banter of people singing and dancing in a wedding parade we passed earlier... Indian weddings are amazing as was this particular wedding ... An hour earlier the parade had filled the tight Windey streets of the city centre ... Horses were intricately dressed in costume carrying the groom who was surrounded by his family dancing and cheering.. Young boys with big smiles dressed similar to what you would wear in a marching band moving and dancing rhythmically with full force energy to the Rajasthani beats blaring from the huge speakers... Being amongst it all is quite the experience and its moments like these when travelling in India that stick with you.
Krish is cooking me dinner tonight, non veg... Mutton and spices with rice and chapatis ... Watching him in the kitchen looking all serious is quite comical... He is persistent that I sit there and watch him .. So funny ... Luckily he is supervised by vj the young chef/waiter/concierge/housekeeper who balances it all on his own here at the heritage haveli.. He too finds Krishs kitchen antics quite amusing.. Dinner was amazing as expected.. Company is always great.. Accompanied with both of us occasionslly tuning into the conversation of 3 travellers an American guy and 2 Australian girls .. Oh and the Indian owner who was trying his best to join in haha... Felt like shooting myself in the foot listening to this young yank go on about a whole bunch of first world bullcrap probably attempting to get one of the girls to bed maybe.. Sounds a bit harsh but if you were there you too would feel my pain.. Hehe :)
Happy valentines everybody :) xx
